Training Updates in the Region Jul-Sep 2006
Our training ministry in the region continues to grow. In early June, an
Instructor of Teachers (IOT) Level 2 was held in the Philippines’ National office.
The two weeks course was attended by nine (9) CEF staff and one (1)
volunteer, with another six (6) staff doing the instructing. It was a great two
weeks.
From the Philippines, I went to Guam and visited with the National Board
and several churches with Emma Lambino, former CEF worker in Guam. We
also went to a VBS, and it was wonderful to be with the Island children. Pray
for someone to go to Guam to direct the work there.
Then it was a Teaching Children EffectivelyTM (TCETM) Level 1 course in
Mongolia – a land of big sky, beautiful mountains, and wonderful people.
Most of the students were young, with many of them eager to take the
IOT 1 next year. What joy to be with the Parks, missionaries from Korea.
Taiwan was next with their Institute being held every three years. The venue
was a Christian University, a beautiful place for the weeks of study and
learning. The Taiwan CEF staff are becoming Leadership Training Instructors
and it was exciting to see how students and staff are developing. During the
nine (9) weeks, the students led 151 children to the Lord in Open Air, 5-Day
Clubs® and Party clubs. The students from Taiwan were joined by two ladies
from Singapore and one from Malaysia.
Meanwhile, the Institute in the Philippines is on-going. There are 19 students
at the moment. Most of the teaching staff are Filipinos.
Thank you for praying for each of these courses, and also for the Institutes to
be held yet this year in Korea and Myanmar. God is indeed blessing the
training of many people around the Region.
