Training Updates in the Region Jul-Sep 2007

In June, Thailand held a Leadership Training Institute (LTI) Phase 1. Twenty four students from different modules came. The teaching staff were composed of Prem, National Director, Song and Lim from the Northern branches. Kathy, Prem’s daughter was my interpreter. Six of the students will be joining CEF full time and four will be part time.

The Institute finished with the 50th year celebration of CEF Thailand last July 7, 2007. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and celebration with testimonies and a DVD to show the history of CEF in the country. Regional Director Rev Tan Cheng Huat, gave the message. Included in the special music was a children’s group. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Mongolia also had a two-week Instructor of Teachers (IOT) 1 at the CEF office. Seven students, three full time staff and four who will be helping CEF took the course. Grace, the Parks’ daughter was one of my interpreters. Two workers from Korea came to be part of the training and were a real blessing.

CEF founder, Mr Jesse Irvin Overholtzer said that the heart of the ministry is Teacher training. Praise the Lord so many are being trained and are now reaching children here in our region. Please pray for upcoming Institutes. Solomon Islands will hold Phase 1 & 2 of Institute this year and finish next year. Also next year, will be a Chinese Institute in Macau, an English speaking Institute in Australia and the annual Institute in Korea. Tonga will also have Phase 1 & 2 and Thailand, Phase 1. Thank you for praying for each of these special Institutes.
