Training Updates in the Region Jan-Mar 2006
The last four countries I visited in 2005 were Papua
New Guinea, Korea, Malaysia and Myanmar.
We had two Teaching Children Effectively™ (TCE™)
1 classes in Papua New Guinea where Bro Pala
Sebea helped in the teaching. Praise the Lord for
Barbara and Jimmy, graduates of the Solomon
Islands Institute who will be helping with CEF there.
We had exciting meetings outside of a hotel.
Workers and many others saw what went on in the
classes. We are thankful to the Lord for the hotel
owner (a Christian), who gladly allowed us to use
the facilities for the class. We rejoice in the Lord for
a lot of interest shown for the course.
The Institute in Korea had 25 students, 14 of whom
were full time students, mostly CEF staff. Then it
was down to Malaysia for another TCE 1 with Siew
Ean. It was a great class with 17 students ranging
from teens to age sixties. There were lots of
creativity and excellent teaching, especially by the
young people.
The year finished in Myanmar, where we had three
classes. There was a TCE 1, TCE 2, and an Instructor
Of Teachers 1 Course. What a joy to have worked
with these ladies who have faithfully served the
Lord through these years; Maggie has served 31
years, Renee has been serving for 25 years, Mary,
AiKhy 15 years, Lulu and Po Saw Tee, are now
serving 14 years, and Kwa Zon for 12 years. Praise
the Lord for all He is doing around the region as
people are being trained and boys and girls are
being reached. There were 437 students enrolled
and 62 Instructors supervised in last year’s trainings
where I had the privilege to be.
To God be the
glory great things He has done!
