- REGIONAL DIRECTOR: Thank God that the funeral service for Mrs Grace Tan's mother last July 26th went well. Pray for her father as he spends time with their family in Singapore.
- Pray for Rev Tan Cheng Huat's meeting with Rev Jim Neigh (Vice President for International Ministries) when he stops by Singapore on his way to Korea, the 28th of this month.
- ASST TO THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR: Pray for Rev Tan, Rev David Ra and a Korean delegate (potential missionary candidate) to have a good survey trip to Samoa on September 10-18; and for a good contact to be made with church leaders there.
- EDUCATION CONSULTANT: Pray for healing and relief for Miss Jan Johnson's Mom who is so ill after breaking her hip and pelvis. She has blood clots in both legs, has cough and has to have oxygen and breathing treatments. (Heard just now from Ms Jan saying "I heard from my family that my Mother is dying. The last I heard it would be just a few hours. I will be going home for the funeral").
- Pray also for Miss Jan as she teaches in the Philippines and Papua New Guinea this September and October. Pray for good health and wisdom in teaching.
- MYANMAR: Praise God for a Teaching Children Effectively™ (TCE™) 2 (in Yangon) as well as a BTC course in Ye Tho Village (near Yangon) last August. Please pray for a TCE 1 which starts today and for a BTC course on the 19th 'til the 24th, both in Yangon. Pray for the instructors as they minister to the students.
- Praise the Lord for the completion of the foundation of the CEF building. Pray for provisions to complete construction soon to better facilitate the ministry.
- AUSTRALIA: There will be a TCE 1 at the national office this month. Pray that the Lord will send the people who need and will effectively use this training. Praise God for students who are putting this training into practice -- leading many children to the Lord and promoting this course and CEF resources in their churches and friends.
- JAPAN: Pray that many students will attend TCE Level 1 follow-up class at the Headquarters which begins this month; and for the TCE Level 1 and Idea Class in Tokyo branch to be blessed of the Lord. Pray that Chieko Kudo's problems with her hip (she is much better now) would soon completely heal.
- TONGA: Praise God for 16 Christians who came to the "O" Day Open Air Workshop reaching 78 children and young people with the Gospel. Praise especially for 34 who prayed to receive Christ. Please pray for the TCE 1 training this month and for a Sunday School Teachers Clinic next month, that a good number of representatives from each Church denomination will join this training Workshop.
- HONG KONG: Praise the Lord for ten 5-Day Clubs successfully held last July and August. Pray for the 101 Gospel Golden Week – due on the opening of Disneyland Hong Kong this month. Pray for 10,000 CDs containing the audio Putonghua version of the "Secret of the Watermelon" and the "Life of Christ" to be distributed to children from mainland China visiting Hong Kong between October 1 to 8.
- Please pray for volunteers to help in the distribution of the CDs and for funds needed; the setting up of a new website for kids; and production of correspondence courses.
- NEW ZEALAND: Praise God for hundreds of children reached in both Islands last July through the ministry of Overseas Summer Missionaries; for children's camps (in South Island) also last July; and for all the children counseled. Pray for the follow up of these children.
- Pray for Vivienne Breen as she starts fulltime with CEF NZ. She relocated to Auckland early this month to work at the national office. Pray for wisdom for Pam, Robert and Vivienne as they build a team.
- FIJI: Pray for the building fund project called "The Moriah Project" -- that the Lord will bless CEF Fiji's promotional efforts so that the US$150,000 needed to purchase and renovate the property could be raised. Praise the Lord for a wonderful National Conference in early July with 142 delegates representing 70 churches throughout Fiji.
- INDONESIA: Praise for the Lord’s guidance and protection during Independence Party in August. Pray for the Good News Club® (GNC™) starting this month to follow up on these kids. Praise the Lord for the zeal of the national staff to do deputation. Ask God to raise up more men and women to reach boys and girls in Indonesia.
- Pray for God's help for Mr Winanto who is working on the new constitution of CEF Indonesia. Pray for Mr RKP Mangunsong, adviser, who is undergoing chemotherapy every two weeks. Pray for his healing, and sustaining grace for his family.
- THAILAND: The Leadership Training Institute (LTI) in Thailand ends today. Pray for each of the student to be zealous in putting to practice the helps and techniques learned at the Institute by taking every opportunity to share the Gospel to the children.
- KOREA: Pray for the LTI which started last September 9 to continue until November 26. Pray for each of the student to be enabled as they fulfill assignments and requirements. Also pray for the instructors.
- PHILIPPINES: Pray for Rev Joel Indico who is celebrating his birthday today -- that he will experience more of the Lord's strength and grace this year in the midst of ministry responsibilities and challenges.
- Pray for newly opened areas to be strengthened through the recruitment of active committee members, staff and volunteers; as well as prayer and share partners.
- CEFRO (CH): Thank God for those trained in April, May and June who are burdened for the children. They are older than the average Sunday school teacher, so please ask the Lord to increase their strength as they serve children.
- Please ask the Lord of grace to bless LR and NB churches, both in the coastal region. Ask Him to enable them to influence other churches such that they will also see children's ministry of utmost importance.
- MALAYSIA: Praise the Lord for the awakening of the churches concerning children's ministry. Continue to pray that more churches will use the CEF curriculum and Wonder Devotional Book. Pray for God's providence in the call of workers for Malaysia.
- PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Praise the Lord that Bro Pala Sebea has committed to assume responsibility for the work in PNG once again. Pray for the Lord's financial provisions for an office, computers and communication facilities.
- Pray for preparations for a TCE 1 in October, and for students of God's choice to be called to attend. Also pray for some Super Seminars being planned.
- VANUATU: Praise the Lord for a two-storey building that has been constructed for the CEF office, also serving as a training center. Pray for the Lord's provisions to finish construction soon.
- Praise the Lord for George (Margaret's husband) and Joseph who are working in the office, seeing to it that teachers are continually helped in their ministry to the children.
- MACAU: Praise God for the enthusiasm and energy that three local summer missionaries brought to the team; and for 17 5-Day Clubs® conducted last summer reaching over 500 children. Pray for the Lord's help for the staff and local churches to follow-up on these children.
- Please pray for the instructors and students of a TCE 1 course being held Tuesday nights which started this month to continue until December.
